Australia has created 63,000 new tech jobs over the last three years.
And the 2018 edition of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) Digital Pulse forecasts the Australian economy will need an additional 100,000 tech workers, to 758,700, by 2023.
Almost half (49%) are directly employed in tech related industries such as computer system design, telecommunication services and internet service provision.
The rest are employed in other industries throughout the economy.
The largest employer outside of tech related industries is the professional, scientific and technical services, which employs 72,800.
