Outstanding CDU’ wins export award

Charles Darwin University has won the Education and Training award for outstanding innovation and international success at the Chief Minister’s Export and Industry Awards.

Two outstanding students also shared the spotlight of success while a third won a commendation award.

Northern Institute Master of Public Policy student Amy Zhang won the International Student of the Year award, while Waterfront School of Business MBA graduate Navjot Kaur won the Business Student of the Year award.

As part of her course, Amy undertook an internship with StudyNT where she included the use of Chinese social media in an engagement strategy for connecting with prospective students in China who may want to study in the NT.

Navjot, who comes from India, has supplemented her studies with a professional placement in CDU’s Office of International Services where she has made a valuable contribution. Navjot will graduate on 13 October.

Shree Lamichhane received a commendation in the International Student category.
