Master of Professional Accounting

The Master of Professional Accounting complements your non-accounting or partial accounting qualifications to meet the entry requirements for membership of CPA Australia and The Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). The course focuses on the knowledge and skills required for practice as a public or chartered accountant, effective management, accountability and control, and effective decision-making for financial success.

You will develop your technical and conceptual skills required to become a competent accountant, and will develop abilities to analyse, criticise and synthesise various accounting and related principles, methods and techniques.

  • Accounting therapy
  • Australian taxation law
  • Cost and management accounting
  • Auditing corporate entities
  • Computer-based accounting systems.
Professional recognition

A conversion course that enables graduates with non-accounting or partial accounting backgrounds to meet the academic requirements for membership of CPA Australia and The Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).

Admission requirements

Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree in any discipline (other than accounting) is required for admission into this course.

Applicants who have fully satisfied the entry requirements of the accounting professional bodies in their first degree are not eligible for entry.
